Folks,

I need help and I don't want to pay $3000 for a new radio... here is the problem for my 2015 ES350. The radio stopped working and the display for the radio and nav and climate display doesnt work. The hazards work, the climate controls work, the display works for the backup camera. I checked all the fuses, the ones under the hood and the driver's side. if the radio doesn't work why does the nav and climate display not work? Also, I am not sure if it is related but the usb chargers dont work. Cig lighter plug does and the center console light works. It seems to me it's an internal fuze or loose wire. thoughts??

Only thing I could think of before taking it to the dealer would be to disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes then reconnect and see if it does anything to the system. I guess at this point it's worth a try. Also as your vehicle is already 5 model years old I would think there is no longer a factory warranty unless you bought an extended one. Just my 2 cents.

I would try the Fillykonk method and see if anything changes. These systems are super expensive to replace and probably to repair (if possible) as well. GOOD LUCK!

Pressing power button for ~5 seconds reboots the radio. Try it first before disconnecting the battery.

I have a 2017 ES 350 with the exact same issue and only 54,000 miles. Display is black with periodic flicker radio not working, usb not working. The back up camera will display, the hazard lights work, and the back lights on the radio work. I’ve checked fuses and tried the rebooting described in the threads. What was the cause of your issue? I think I might have the same problem. I was told Lexus part for new radio was $5000. I’m hoping that’s not the issue. Please help!

Being just 4k miles out of warranty, you may want to see if they'll "good will" the repair. At least give it a shot.

Same issue on my 2013 es 300h. It happened once but is now ok. The radio was partially unresponsive and the usb charger did not work. The issue fixed itself after a few minutes but I’m worried it will come back.

I have all the exact same issues as you have described. Did you ever find a fix? I would be grateful for some help. I have had my 2015 ES 350 H into my family owned Lexus mechanic and into 3 separate audio stores with zero luck finding a fix. Not having a radio for 5 moths is getting really old. Radio id# 100465.

This sounds like a head unit problem if the backup cam is working but the screen is not showing any display


Replacing the headunit would be my guess if you already tried looking at fuses and disconnecting the 12v battery already

I am a member with a Professional Technicians Network. Many have had this company come through for high dollar vehicles. Suggest you take a look and give them a call.

There name is United Radio . They have a website and have an east coast location in New York along with two other locations. This website wont let me post a link but you can do a google search for them.

I was trying to update the map data in 2016 ES300H. After it was done, the system does not boot at all. I think I may have bricked the system and I have to replace it. Am I wrong? The map was PT219-GEN08-23.
