Default Steering wheel controls

Hi guys,
I own the IS250 2009 base model, which doesn't come with the talk button on the steering. Without it I can't connect my phone to the car nor can I answer calls while driving using hands-free.
My question is, if I replace the current "display" button with one that has all other functions, Will that solve my problems and allow me connect my phone to the car?

This is the button i want to replace mine with. It has the talk buttone, display button, phone pick and drop buttons.

I have the 08 version with the nav system and if you say you only have the base model, then I assume that means you dont have the nav built in. I'm pretty sure that means that just buying the controls wont solve your problem unless you also buy the factory nav system since that has all the functions and settings for voice commands and phone connectivity. Just know that if you do decide to buy these controls, they probably wont work unless you have the touchscreen nav as well.

Hmm, as far as I know the earlier models (pre 2010) are a little older in the tech they use since the newer 2IS's are improved on. Maybe try using the controls he has from his 2012 on yours and check if it works?

I think you would also need to update the map lights console. The hands free tech is in there.

Maybe Jeff can chime in later if it will function, or prewired to handle the bluetooth upgrade.
