Car backed into my car - ABS, VGRS, Traction Control on
I'm pretty sad to say that someone backed into my front end of my car when I was parked. The damages to my car were very minor since only the front license plate was bent. No damages to the bumper
When I went to turn on my car, it is telling me to "Check ABS", Check headlight leveling system", "Check VGRS" and my traction control light is on.
I don't understand how a small collision could cause these warning lights to turn on. What can a do to address all these issues, since they are 100% connected (car never had this issue prior). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I hope you got their insurance information because it sounds like whoever hit you damaged a sensor. If I had to guess I would say they damaged something related to the headlight leveling system which is causing the other error messages. The only way to truly know whats going on is to connect it to Techstream and let it run a full test on your car. You can get a OBDII cable with the software cheap on eBay or Amazon. However you do need to have some basic understanding of installing software and drivers to make it work. Other option is to take it to a dealer and pay $100 an hour for them to tell you what Techstream can for $15. Either way there is no way to know based on the error messages, you need to know the exact codes to troubleshoot the issue. I would unplug the battery for a few minutes to let the system reset and see if the error messages come back. If they do you have a problem somewhere that needs to be addressed.

Person that backed into my car is my close friend. Which puts me in quite a pickle lol...
I tried unplugging the battery to see if the reset would turn off the messages. Nothing happened. Thanks for the advice. I'll take it to my mechanic tomorrow to see what they say.
I am considering going to the dealership since my car is under warranty.
