So ordered an LCA for the F. Here are some pictures of the damage from it breaking through the box.
Box arrived as so on the porch via FedEx
Metal is flattened a little
The other part of the LCA that made its way out. Scraped.
Their excuse
Do I take it up with FedEx about it or just install it?

Install it. What they said is accurate. Yes, it's not pretty, but if you wanted pretty, you'd need to get it locally. No matter how you slice it, shipping is a gamble. I wouldn't waste the time and money on shipping it back and hoping the next one arrives in better condition. I will agree they could have boxed it up better, but from what I see, it won't impact function and all, and cosmetics on suspension parts are not exactly a strong point. They get seriously beat up in service from road debris.

Same. The road will tear it up way more than that. Suspension on cars that are used looks gross.
