Default Muffler and resonator delete

Hello, I have a 01 GS430 and I’m currently thinking of deleting the mufflers, resonators and the 3rd cat. I wanted to know how bad it will affect the performance of the car while leaving the piping at 2.25? And if an x pipe will make it worse?

I'm a little confused on the way you are asking the question. I'd be more concerned about the unlivable amount of noise it will create. But to answer what I think you are asking, it's not going to make the performance worse. It will probably flow better enough to increase power a little and drop some weight. But it's not something I'd do in a GS at all. Not worth it.

Concern would be drop in low-end torque, yet... why?

Oh yea sorry about the way I asked, I meant 2.25 straight piping from the where the 3rd cat would be all the way down. With and without an x pipe in place. Idk if that helps but thank you for the answer, why wouldn’t you do it? I wanna know what others think before I make up my mind.

Would it be a huge amount or barely noticeable? I had an LS400 and did similar setup and loved the sound. Just thinking of doing the same with my GS.
