Rattle noise(s) coming from the rear...ugh
I have a 2014 GS350 AWD F-Sport and it has 66k. A few weeks ago I noticed a rattle coming from the back area (trunk and below) every time I hit a bump. I have looked over my entire trunk and have fastened everything there but the rattle still exists. I hate to think something underneath is rattling but that's my next place to look. Everything was fine until I had some tire work done a few weeks ago (balance, rotation and alignment). Any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated as it's so annoying. Thanks in advance.

I would check the mufflers and exhaust hangers. After installing an aftermarket one on my car I didn't tighten something down and it rattled. Basically rubbed against the piece that wasn't tight.

I'd also suggest having the sunroof checked out as the person above me suggested.

All, so after numerous trips to the dealer and having them look over suspension, trunk area, remove headliner, etc...without any fix. I took the tech on a test drive to a road I knew would duplicate the noise and tol ddealer to not return car back until it can drive on this road without any noises, they finally realized that the problem all along was the weatherstripping on the sunroof so they replaced it and problem solved. I told them about that in the very beginning but they said no we already replaced your sunroof 2 years ago but nobody bothered to check that the new sunroof had the old weatherstripping on it and not the new thicker one that fixes the issue. Either way, I can go back to enjoying my car again.

Well they charged me close to $275 to drop the headliner and put some noise deafening material so so I didn't have to pay for the sunroof weather-stripping and they threw in a free oil change. My service advisor told me it's about $275 for the sunroof weather-stripping replacement.
