Who's Upgrading to the new 2020 RX (& who isn't)
I just saw videos of the new RX. I'm happy Lexus didn't make wholesale cosmetic changes to the model. In comparison, I don't think my 16' RX looks dated at all. I do like the changes, especially Android Auto/ Car Play, but not enough to take the $15K loss in depreciation. I will sit tight until the 5th gen comes out.

I've been lurking around this site off-and-on for years. I joined not long after buying a low mileage 2006 430GS in '07. Now my wife is complaining about increased difficulty getting into the GS and she wants an RX. When the 2016 RX came out I did not like the looks, now its grown on me. She's like it all along. Plan to wait until the 2020 models are out then go shopping. Having Android Auto & Apple Car Play will keep me focused on a 2020 rather than looking for a leftover '19.

I have been on the fence between the MDX and the RX
Driven them both, and with the 2020 upgrades, I will probably trade in my 2016 pilot and drive home in a 2020 RX. Now the question is do I get the hybrid or not?

the options I wanted. Otherwise, I would have gotten the 450.

Nice to see someone else that owns the RX. Seems like the majority is leasing these cars now and days. I always wondered the true benefit of owning and selling every few years vs leasing. I’ve never leased a car before. Always owned. Obviously owning is cheaper in the long run, but buying and selling every few years? How does it pay off with the RX? If you don’t mind sharing.

I have a 2016RX with only 38k miles. I don't think I'll be upgrading to 2020, but I do like the carplay and a few of the updates features (lane trace, the better looking grill, more usb ports) but it's not worth changing at this time. I'll probably hangout until the 5th gen comes out myself.

For the "better looking grill" do you have to purchase the f sport to get that version ? If you have the triple beam and pano roof you won't need to upgrade . The difference is so minimal.

I’m not a fan of the upgrades at all, they made the RX look boring. I love the more aggressive body lines on the 2016-2019 F Sport. For those considering it for CarPlay alone, search the forums and you’ll see you can add CarPlay functionality to your existing vehicle for around $500. If they didn’t change the exterior and the only edits were the gen 10 infotainment system and suspension/handling upgrades, I’d be interested.
I’m also currently installing a wide body kit on my RX, so there’s kinda no turning back now!
