I went to carmax today and saw a 2016 limited edition es 350.

i never heard of a limited edition so i went to google and still cant find much about it.

it had a decal on the side of the car that said limited edition also had different rims, rear sunshade and rear spoiler.

other than that i couldnt tell much difference. What is this model?

Crafted line is 2015, not 2016. Also doesnt come with a badge saying it either.

yes, hundreds if not thousands $$ for different colour thread, luggage which you probably don’t need or want, and different colour plastic trim. Palm to face......

It sounds like you're referring to the Crafted Line ES from 2016. That was not a fake dealer added package, though. Some actually liked the exclusivity of the CL ES and the other Lexus models that had it. The OP is asking about the "Limited Edition" ES, which never existed.

I wonder if there has possibly been some confusion with the Avalon in which the top option pack is the “Limited”.

Like already mentioned, Crafted Line was only offered on the 2015 ES, probably to boost sales before refreshing the car for 2016.

I bet CarMax meant Ultra Luxury but just used the “Limited Edition” sign.

Sorry, I meant 2015.

350 UL's did not come with spoilers. I'm sticking with my assumption of the original dealer added some s$$t and labeled it "Limited Edition". CarMax doesn't do that.

But spoilers can be added to any trim level...my mother had a 2015 ES350 Base with Premium Package and she had 18” wheels and trunk spoiler.
