I replaced the valve cover seals on the passenger side because the ignition coil closest to the front of the car was flooded with oil. Replaced the rubber seal that sits in the top of the coil too.
The problem is I think it got worse.
Any ideas what else it could be? I don’t think my mechanic used oem part. Would that be an issue?

Just to be clear, your valve cover gasket replacement also included the round inner gaskets that cover the plug holes? These are likely the culpret given your problem. Many times these can fail and not the outter main gasket, which means the owner never sees any external oil drips but the plug hole is covered in oil. I'd confirm these were also replaced and properly installed.

you mean the top tube seals? Yes I replaced those too. Do the metal plug tubes have a seal underneath, or is there a seal underneath the valve cover I need to replace?

Are you sure it was the velve cover seals and not the fuel pump seals? Maybe the mechanic replaced those too (I would have, since you’re already “there”). I had what I thought were leking valve covers, and it turned out to be fuel pump seals.

I replaced the fuel pump seals too. My valve cover seal also came with tube seals, so I was hoping that would help.
I just placed an order for the spark plug seals hoping that will solve the problem. The funny part is only some plugs have oil in them, not all.

Is it possible that the oil found inside the spark plugs comes from the metal spark plug tube seals? If so, can they be replaced?
