Buying newer 100k mile car over older low mileage regrets?
I知 as close as I致e ever been to buying my sought after car but the only thing I知 trying to shake is the car is close to 100k miles. Anyone bought a 2010-12 with 100k or little higher and said damn I should have bought the older one say 08-09 with much lower miles to start for better price. I知 close to saying screw it though as I知 worn out from my year long search. I was originally looking from 2008 and up but changed to primarily 2010-12.

Concentrate on the service history, not the mileage. A well-maintained 100k mile car is FAR better than a shoddily maintained 60K mile car. These tanks are built for 200K +.

I bought my LS with 106k and did so because it's not likely I'd spend the difference in maintenance between it and the higher price of a lower mileage car. Further, many of the known problems on the LS aren't necessarily linked to mileage as you'll see failures across the board. If you've found the car you like and it meets the maintenance record baseline then I wouldn't worry.

I purchased a 10 with 48K miles about 2 years ago and would do it again in a heartbeat. No way I could afford a new car that stickers at 90K even if I wanted to. Granted I did waste a few weekends and about $1,000 it airline tickets. Did not get the exact feature set I wanted but then again I did get a 2010 with 45,000 miles for $22,000.00. If you are patient and are willing to spend the time and cost to expand your search area you may be surprised at some of the creampuffs avail at a great price. I also agree that a high millage well cared for car is a better value then a low millage car that has not been cared for. I remember I flew to NJ to look at a 2009 low mileage - from the pics it looked awesome. Got there and the miles where very hard miles - it was disheartening but I walked away flew back to Raleigh and said I was going to wait for a car in NC to come up. One month later on a plane to PA and boy was I glad I did that. Found a great car that was well taken care of.

I have an 08 with just under 75K miles. If I had it to do over 5 years ago, I wouldn't change a thing. Ok, maybe bluetooth audio, but otherwise, fabulous car.

Side note: as much as I love BT audio in my 2012... it is a little finicky with newer phones.

I'm considering buying a Vaistech SL3B-L for my 2007 LS. I've seen some mixed reviews regarding connection and audio quality issues with the early models. I'm glad it's working well for you. Perhaps i'll take the plunge as well!

I just bought a 2010 with 128K mileage with no regrets because:
1. No accidents
2. single owner
3. serviced every 5K miles from 0 to 125,000 (they hit every interval except 65K, but they did the 70)
4. All maintenance was at the dealership it was originally bought from and traded in at, where I bought it.
5. The navigation had several country club addresses saved so the guy probably upgraded to a LS500.

You are similar to me in regards to cars near 100K miles. It's like turning "the big 30" in car age . I bought my 2008 2 years ago with 90K miles on it, I'm at 98K now and had the urge to sell before it hit 100K. I was inches away from selling it but backed out when I was talked down to $1K below my reserve price. Plus the buyer was difficult to work with and there were some red flags when he wouldn't agree to go to the bank with me to count verify the cash he had.
I've always gotten rid of cars before they hit 100k. I would have loved to find one with 60K, 70K or even 80K miles since I only would drive it 5K miles a yr but there was nothing out there at the time and even after I got my car I looked and saw nothing pop up local that I could have made a move on. I also would have loved to get the "L" version. There were some that popped up on CarMax that I could have had transported to MA. Now It's not worth getting one, For the money and labor I've but into getting my LS460 near perfect, it would not make sense to now get rid of it. It drives perfect and that is what matters.
If cars nearing 100K matters to you, then I'd hold off till you find one with the ideal mileage. Like me you'd be looking at the odometer every day to see how close you are nearing 100K My other car has 60K miles and I never pay any mind to the odometer.

The BT module allows you to use Spotify, etc?
