What did you do to your CT200h today? (mods sticky?)
This is a common type thread on many forums and sub-forums. I figure it would be good inspiration and fun general reading for this forum. I hope mods will make it a sticky =) We don't have anything like it for the CT sub-forum. 2IS and 3IS and GS forums have these.
I'll start:
Today I receive a slide hammer so I can use with glue pulls. I'm working on doing my own PDR. I like to learn and DIY. This one I must admit am pretty intimidated. And I'm afraid of messing up. But I got a quote of $275 for a pro PDR so I figure I'd spend the money on tools and take a crack at it myself. I pulled most of the dent out using pull tabs but I spent a few more bucks on a slide hammer.
Here's how the dent looked before I even touched it. I bought the car this way. only dent on the car. Car is otherwise nearly perfect. =/ I will post a photo of when i get tired of beating this dent out.. i highly doubt i can make it perfect.

It's still a work in progress but here's my PDR attempt... I've poked at it (no pun intended) in two sessions over two days. There's still a ways to go, it has a really sharp crease and I don't really have the proper tools. I'm using all ebay glue pulling tools. Real PDR tools cost big money. there's really no good decently priced options out there for PDR DIYers. It's either really cheap chinese stuff or really expensive pro level stuff. It looks a LOT better than before though. if you look closely you can still see the sharp crease. look by where the bumper meets the fender. I say I got 75% of the dent lifted up. By no means a finished result. just time consuming. maybe another two sessions.

I filled tires with what I thought was 40PSI at the gas station. Then I went home and discovered it was only around 35 PSI. I have a feeling the gas station is incorrect and not my gauge at home... but i could be wrong. Maybe it's time to invest in a new gauge. Used to have a digital one then I lost it..
