Default New Mandatory Update

I saw a message this morning on my 2015 GS 350 about a mandatory SW update. I was driving and could not take a picture.. just hit the "Later" button on the screen. Does anyone know what this does?

I ran mine this morning, and didn't notice any immediate differences.

Yeah this update is old, your cars apps were just out of date. I think this removed pandora, look it up on the lexus drivers site.

I had one that removed Pandora a couple of months ago, not sure what this was one was for.

App Suite added Slacker, then Pandora re-coded itself out of third party controllers and now Movie Tickets is being phased out.

I was driving when the notice came in. I said go ahead. The update took maybe a minute. After it was finished, App Suite no longer works. It opens and the apps show but no matter which one I choose, I get a blank screen with only the cursor on it. I can't back out. The only way out is to hit either the Map or Menu button.

Does anyone know how I can force another update? Maybe that will clear the problem and I won't have to schedule a service appointment.

Just published to the Lexus Tech Specialists, there is a glitch in the recent App Suite update. Previous solutions to
App Suite troubles will not be effective. Wait for an additional update to clear this up.

It’s almost like paying for cable, then loosing more and more channels every year. It smells like forced obsolescence to me. Just when we can finally get eons of great miles from our cars, we’ll have to dump them, because none of the integrations work. It wouldn’t surprise me, if an update kills the start switch. Sarcasm to some extent, but there’s a point of ridiculousness and we’ve reached it.

When will we hear of an an update to actually give us something, is stead of take away?

I agree, Lexus needs to fix this or my next car will be something else... this is getting annoying and frustrating. If they don't want to update the infotainment system they should open it to 3rd party companies; im sure someone at Deplhi, BBM or whoever makes the ML system would love to get some reoccurring revenue by selling an alternate infotainment OS.
