ok guys our direct injectors, if you look at lexuspartsnow.com shows you for example 23209-39155-B0, that is for "mark black" but they also list as being compatible, mark brown mark yellow etc.... what exactly does this mean?

1. Why is there this difference?
2. I assume I cannot mix and match?
3. But can I for example swap all my mark black for mark browns?
4. I read that different colours are different flow rates?

also i was told that

23250-31020 and 23209-39055

are interchangeable with 23209-39155 how doI find out more about this?

direct injection shoots fuel directly in the combustion chamber bypassing the valves. Gas injection operates at 500-1000+ psi. Diesel run upwards of 35000 psi
Our cars also have indirect injection which goes by many names mpfi, sfi, tbi. indirect injection shoots before the intake valve. Your average indirect fuel injectors run 30-60 psi

You can't mix 1 with the other. You could literally blow apart the injector. Besides they bolt in completely different.

Yes most OEMs use color codes for injectors. I owned a dodge srt4 whihc had several color codes. Fpr example pink top were 215hp car, black was 230hp, blue were 260hp.

I have no answers for P/Ns or specific Lexus/Toyota color codes.

Lexus (Toyota) have several different numbers for the same part. It depends on the OEM manufacturer, distribution chain, etc, etc. But if it says they are compatible, then they invariably are.

im having the same dilemma. seems like the oem direct injectors cost more than the port but on ebay the whole set of 8 costs as much as the oem . I'm wondering are they interchangeable

Port and direct injectors are not interchangeable. I replaced 4 direct injectors with used ones off Ebay. You need to make sure that the same bank has same color injectors.

OK cool. I'm assuming there's no aftermarket direct injectors. All I've seen are the used and brand new oem. How are yours holding up?

I got used low mileage and installed it last year. I have put on them 10k+ miles, no issues.

ok this listing is for the the right side (bank 2) injectors that were pulled of the exact same year 460 that i have (2007).ebay link . But the part number doesn't match the oem part numbers for the direct injectors that i got from alldata.com. So my question is are the ones that you replaced color coded ( green ,brown, black ,yellow) or do they look like the ones in the ebay link. I searched through a few listings and all pulled from 460s seem to look the same and aren't color coded. i just want to do everything in one swoop. not go back and forth under the hood. lately i've been breaking things on accident chasing this lean code. i broke my high pressure fuel pump mounting bolt, radiator and condenser in one weekend lol fixed those issues. now the injectors which was the problem to begin with.

Those are port injectors. I believe, the part number of director injectors is 23250-31030. But please verify!

I believe, there are four different marks in total. The same part number is shared across multiple Lexus cars. I got mine off GS350. Be careful with remanufactured ones. There are 2 Teflon o-rings per injector and both are very hard to replace in the right way unless you have a special tool. Many shops selling on Ebay do not have such tool.

ohhh ok !! i gotcha now. i wasn't aware they were the same across the other models. i really appreciate you taking the time to help! one last question lol. did you have to remove you intake manifold to remove the injectors ?

Yes, it takes time to get to injectors. Just take your time and be patient. It is worth spending extra time around the main wire harness as it is time consuming to disconnect it allowing some room to the remove the intake. Be careful with connectors, they easy to break. I had to replace 4 connectors in addition to 4 injectors. By the way, my injectors just fell apart when I tried reinstalling it. And that is what prompt the replacement.
