Default Problem making / receiving calls

Picked up my NX300 about 3 months ago. Dealer tech paired my smartphone to the auto. Have never used the feature to use the smartphone in the auto until this past week. Having 2 problems: when I receive a call, I connect but I can hear the person but they cannot hear me. Also, when I press the talk button on the steering wheel, when it asks me what I want to do, it cannot hear my response.

From both these problems, it appears that the speaker that picks up my voice is not operational. Anyone else have such a problem?

Any suggestions what to do to correct? If no advice I guess I will have to go back to the dealer.

I've seen this issue before. The mic isn't communicating with the car's system. Disconnect the car's battery for 10 minutes. This should reset it. Or go to the dealer.

Disconnect negative battery terminal for 10 minutes should fix your problem.

Thanks for the reply. I just called the dealer, but he couldn't help me over the phone. Suggested I come into dealership so they can review the problem.

I need to go to the dealership in a month for 6 month inspection, so not inclined to go now for just this problem. If I should disconnect the battery terminal, do you know what settings in memory I will loose, other than radio presets?

Car will idle roughly for a couple of seconds, you may have to keep a light foot on the gas
to keep it from stalling. Most settings including phone pairing and Navigation destinations
should stay through the short 10 minute disconnect. Glance up and confirm that the overhead
SOS system light comes back on solid green.
