Default New LX570 owner here, Mod Questions

Hello All!

New owner here and I am excited to start personalizing the rig.

Does anyone know of a company that makes lowering links for the LX?

So you just purchased one of the most capable off-road SUV in the world and you want to lower it?

Yes. Because I'm doing this to it.

I'd say that should get you a place at WalMart next to the Escalades.

I'm not black so I don't take offense to that comment 😂

Never bought this truck to climb rocks. Just wanted a big vehicle to transport my family.

No one need to take offense at that comment as no where did I mention African Americans...I believe that came from you.

Congratulations on the LX...family transportation is a breeze, but depending on size of your family you may want to start shopping for a box to mount on the luggage rack.

Finding lowering parts may be hard for two reasons. 99% of the aftermarket for the LandCruiser/LX chassis is to lift it for off road use. The second is that because the LX has a combination spring and hydrolic suspension it is not easy to modify and keep the computers happy.

You will find that one one can adjust the sensors at each wheel that detect ride height for the self leveling and ride height feature. If you move the bracket up or down you can get the car to think it is in the ‘N’ normal position at a different height. You could probably lower 1-2” this way and with an alignment be OK. There might be enough travel left for a good ride quality However you will be hard pressed to find many examples of that for lowering to get impressions.

I think you're stuck with an suv that looks like it wants to go offload even though it's in a bad mood.

If you are not already familiar with it the www.ih8mud.com forum is probably the biggest source of information on the LX/LC platform. Although much of it is focused on off-road, the rest of it is general ownership, maintenance, troubleshooting and social information.

I’ll look for you. You can’t miss mine. Only LX with ARB bumpers on it in the area.

It looks great and it's most refreshing to see, especially here.
