Default Fun finds from Japan for the LS430/Celsior

I thought I would make a thread about some of the unique items that are available for our cars from Japan. There are so many unique items over there that many people probably haven't seen before. Rather than take screen shots, I'm just going to post a link and a brief description. When the auction ends, it just gets relisted with the same auction number. If you use Google Chrome, it should automatically translate for you.

For the first item, here is a UCF 31 (04-06) front bumper with the front OEM aero piece and a hole for the front parking pole. The aero piece is about as good of condition as you could hope to find. The parking pole (not included) could be raised by a switch in the cabin to help you park, which is very challenging in Japan sometimes. Also, in Japan they refer to the 01-03 cars as "early" and the 04-06 cars as "late".

Next up, a manual transmission swap for your LS430. This is stupid expensive, but all new parts are used in the swap. If you look at the pictures, you can see a Celsior that has 3 pedals. Should be noted that the Celsior is an extra 50,000¥ or about $500. This would be about $8500 USD.

One more for now. Tom's is a company that makes many products for Toyota vehicles. Some of their products are good, some are junk. Anyways, they made a few products for the Celsior, including several suspension bits. This front bar would help tighten things up a bit. Shipped from Japan to the USA, you're looking about $550 all said and done.

To tie in with the bumper, here is the front factory parking pole. You can see the button and even the Toyota logo on the top of the pole. From the literature I have, I believe these were a dealer-only option and didn't come from the factory already installed. These are pretty rare, even in Japan.

What about an actual car for sale? Check out this 2004, with only 46,000 km or 28,000 miles. This car has the ash gray interior which is rare over there. It also has the front parking pole and the passenger side trash box. You'll notice it doesn't have a wood steering wheel, it does have an ETC (electronic toll collector) built in by the sunroof controls, and it has the rear floor mat that covers the hump (very common over there). They are trying to sell this car for about $26,000 USD... I'm sure it will be for sale for awhile.

This 2004 only has 71,860 km on it and is 11,000USD. This one has 20 inch rims, a badgeless grill, black interior, aftermarket aero parts, and an exhaust. A bit weird but it only has heated seats, rather than heated & cooled seats.

Hope you're enjoying these.

What about the bottom of the market? Here is an 04, 96,000km, white on black with OEM front aero. You could own this one for $5300 USD.

I don't know if I've ever seen white on black here in the states for an LS430...

A late 03 with 120,000 km on it. Rare non-nav model, 19" Wald wheels. Notice is has air suspension, but doesn't have headlight washers? Pretty cool! Oh yeah, $3500 USD.

Here is an 04 with a supercharger setup. Read through the description and you'll see that is certainly has some issues to address. Sounds like it struggled on the Tom's ECU (Tom's offered a tuned ECU to go with their own SC setup) and is now running on the stock ECU. Pretty cool to see.

Another FI car? Why not. This one has a custom supercharge set up, will apparently go 192 mph, has Ferrari F40 fron calipers and Skyline R33 rear calipers, and is running on a HKS F-Con V ECU. I like how he says you can't even get a belt for a Tom's SC any more. Too bad it doesn't have more pictures.

Big brakes are all the rage over in Japan. Here is a Brembo BBK for the Celsior. The fronts are 6 pots from an AMG Mercedes, the rears are from a Lotus. Comes with the adapter brackets and rotors. $2200 USD. If you could figure out just the brackets, you could easily source the rest yourself here in the states.

Here is a complete set of JDM headlights for a late model car. Very clear with no broken mounting tabs. About $500. If I didn't just buy wheels, I would be considering these.

Looking for a set of JDM fogs for your late model car? These are not perfect, but I think you could clean them up pretty well and the price is right. You could land these in the USA for $140ish all said and done.
