Default Car Wrap Color

Hey guys,
Recently purchased a 2016 Lexus RC 350 F-Sport in Obsidian Black and was considering vinyl wrapping.
These are the colors I've narrowed it down to and was wondering what some of your thoughts were.

3M Satin Dark Grey

Oracal Matte Graphite Metallic

Both are okay looking. There is no one better than the other here. Just difference in tastes. I like strawberries, and I don't like grey as a car colour.

I have always liked gray. They both look really nice. I noticed the second one had a darker roof. Are you planning to do the same? How much does it cost in California to get a car wrapped?

Unless you have your heart set on it, I wouldn't reccommend a wrap. I wanted one more than anything on my old IS so i got one, but it was such a pita.

Mine was gloss, and it was super hard to keep clean. I mean It was gloss black and i had to wash it every other day. Ive heard that matte is harder to preserve, finish wise, but depending on the color it could probably hide dirt a lot better too.

Black, IMO, is harder to keep clean than white. Gray...not so much

Yeah, in the photo I believe the car has the roof wrapped in a matte black finish, along with a chrome delete in a matte finish.

I plan on wrapping the roof in a gloss black finish and will also do a chrome delete in gloss black.

Co worker has a Matt Dark Grey AMG. I love the color and sheen.
He chose a wrap over a paint job (I think it's clear matte over the grey). He heard bad things about matte finishes being hard to maintain. They can get shiny spots and can look odd after some birds/trees have their way with it.
He thought the wrap was more durable than the pain wrt that kind of damage.
Plus he wanted it wrapped anyways for longevity of the paint underneath. When the wrap comes off, it's still pretty much brand new underneath.
This was a high budget add to his ride though.

I do love the RC in matte or satin grey. Hard to tell from the photos, but that Graphite looks great.
