You cannot, at least not without adding an adapter, the original system is only for making phone calls. You could run an aux cable into the back of the center console to listen to music from your phone, but it cannot be done through Bluetooth.

Is there any adapters out there with phone Bluetooth to aux?
i know the FM transmitters but the quality leaves a lot to be desired.... but they are pretty cheap st around $12-15 for one. The grom unit is hard to swallow at $90-150.

There are, but the aux port is already in the bottom rear of the center console, and outside of the grom style units, the sound quality is always going to leave a lot to be desired. I keep an aux cord plugged in at all times and just connect my phone when I get in the car. I have it set to start Slacker when I connect to the headphone jack, so it works great even if I forget before I start driving. I want to do a unit like the grom, but money isn't there yet to do that.

First thing I bought for my car over a year ago, still works great.
Plugs into the armrest and connects to your phone with bluetooth.

This is a pretty nice device.... and the price not bad like the Grom. I added it to my shopping list.

i have an iPhone with their ‘upgraded’ no headphone jack...

I am trying to decide between the Aukey you listed $24 and the SoundBot one for $20. The Aukey looks better, but the SoundBot allows you to move it to clip to your shirt for better microphone during calls. It also claims Echo and Noise Reduction. Reviews seems pretty good.
Do you have any pictures of yours installed in your car? The Aukey looks like it matches the Lexus interior better.

If you are connecting to your car Bluetooth for phone, do you need the remote device? If that is the case, I could just hide that little remote thing and only keep the Bluetooth portion?

I use the remote to change songs. Since you can’t use steering wheel control to change songs through aux

I ended up ordering this taotronics TaoTronics one. It has an On/Off switch. I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to put in a custom switch in line, but this one already have it built in.

I drive with Waze 24/7, but I usually listen to the radio in the mornings. The audio would end up transmitting through the transmitter while the car audio is tuned to radio, potentially missing the announcements from my gps. This way I can turn it on and off as needed. I still plan to use the in-car Bluetooth for calls.

This is something I bought couple of days ago to go along with my 06 GS300.
Seems to be working fine if you set it up properly but since it's using radio, you might need to change frequency from time to time as it might be clashing with some radios.
It's a budget option.
