2017 RC300 F-Sport: Location of Airbag Control Module
I'm rebuilding a salvaged 2017 RC300 F-Sport. All the airbags and seatbelts were blown so I have to send the airbag control module away for reflash after I replace the airbags and have the seat belts rebuilt.
Does anyone know where the airbag control module is located. Any help would be appreciated.

Awesome!
Good on you for taking this on man! As a 2017 owner myself, Id love to know what you paid for a "salvaged" F? What I would do is seek out the true Service Manual (Not anything found in the glovebox either) but the real deal, which will no doubt be hard to come by! Im willing to bet someone here has the juice to obtain an electronic copy of this biblical item that will give you every piece of info you could imagine within the car. I'll see what I can do with my hooks since I wouldn't mind having a copy of this myself! Are you the one with the White RCF that took a serious head on crash? Would love to see some pics of what you have on your hands? Ironically, the man responsible for helping me obtain my F is from Jersey too! Took an Amtrak train from DC to Penn St where I was picked up by a driver from Lexus of Brooklyn, and drove it home with a grin & smile for 6 hrs! Wishing you all the best with this task, and oh btw.......Welcome to the Club!

The factory service manuals are not "biblical" or hard to find. https://techinfo.toyota.com has everything you need from the factory. Everything. You can even buy short term access pretty cheaply. If you want printed manuals, be prepared to spend a LOT of money for the real deal from Lexus. I was quoted $1200 for all the IS350 manuals in 2006 when I bought mine. The bad part about the print manuals is the information they contain may not be current. That's part of why they went to a subscription service.
The SRS ECU is in the center of the car underneath the center console as it is in all Toyota/Lexus vehicles. It's the location least likely to suffer immediate damage on impact.

Paid $10K for a 2017 with just over 2K miles. I expect it to cost about $6K to $8K to repair doing all the work myself. I've already spent $2.5K in airbags and another $2K in most of the rest of the parts and will probably spend around another $2k in more parts before finished.

lobuxracer. Thanks for the info. That's as I suspected (center console location) but glad to get confirmation before ripping apart the console. Thanks Again

I saved the front emblem. Just the emblem is $201 (w/o Precrash) or $403 (w/Precrash).
I've got about $4500 in parts alreadty ordered with maybe another $2K left to go.

Obviously, I am apparently dating my age when such material was difficult to obtain. I did know Hardcopy Manuals cost a lot though!
Also, as a Devout Catholic I would never used the analogy of ANY vehicular material being Religiously "Biblical."... Perhaps I should've used a better word. My intended meaning was ...."Biblical" ..on a large scale, great in nature.
