New year, new truck:
https://www.dodgeofpryor.com/new-com...fed7f9196c.htm
My dealer in McKinney, TX is getting this truck transferred from Pryor OK. I am trading in my blue one. The breakdown:
$61,040 MSRP
-$5,040 Red Tag event
$56,000 Sale price
-$10,000 off MSRP
$46,000 after incentives
-$30,000 trade-in
$16,000
-$1,000 additional down payment
$15,000
$15,000+ TTL=$17k/change financed out-the-door. 0% for 36 months=$492.xx/mo.
I don't think I did too shabby! I was looking at the limited trim, but there isn't much that separates the limited from this truck besides chrome, and I get a better looking truck (I think).
Only options that this truck doesn't have, that come on the limited's:
-Surround View Camera (not a huge deal to me)
-Air Suspension (didn't want)
-LED Projectors with AVS (could take it or leave it)
-Self-park feature (who needs that? Neat parlor trick, sure, but part of a $2200 package. Meh)
As far as I can tell, besides that and some woodgrain (this has CF-look trim inside), its got it all. Pano-moonroof, power side-steps, 12" touchscreen, etc, but was THOUSANDS cheaper.

Congrats! Love the RAMs and that new giant UConnect is really impressive.
But jeez, 25% off MSRP on the brand new model. I know big discounts from MSRP are a staple of the Detroit 3 Pickup world, but even that seems high.

the finance guy said hes never seen a deal done with a margin like this. The Service manager (guy buying my trade in) said in the morning meeting they talked about my ordeal and the GM said "if he wants a new truck, get him in one."

That smoking deal shows how we get the shaft here in California. We have to pay sales tax on the selling price (and on rebates) with no credit for the trade in value into the tax base. Here in CA we'd be paying sales tax on the selling price plus any rebates etc.
