Hi All,

Just picked up an USB Performance Package and I got to drive it from the Toronto area back to Ottawa, Ontario until I put it into storage the following day. Ultimate tease until next spring as I'm storing it for the winter months. Beautiful car and I'm really excited to get to know it better come spring time. I also have a 2008 GS350 for the winter. I've always been a blue car guy as my past couple of cars have been unique blue's (2004 Carrera 4S in Cobalt Blue and a 330CI in Topaz Blue).

I did a PPI and an alignment and everything checked out great. I'm planning on swapping some of the non LED bulbs in the interior to LED and possibly adding a rear CF diffuser. I've checked out some sites for diffuser's but if anyone knows of a subtle one that has a few fins let me know?

Other than that I might give it some slightly darker tints and down the road possibly lowering it a tad and adding some spacers.

Congrats. Is that the one from the St. Mary’s GM dealership which was ceramic coated? I was watching that one and the price kept dropping to under $50K - they had it for quite awhile. If so, did they move more on the price?

Glad to hear you didn’t get a speeding ticket on the 401 heading back to Ottawa lol.

yes, that was the one!! They budged slightly lower given they didn’t want to have it on the lot for the whole winter season. They needed to move on this car so they settled for just shy of 50k. I paid approx 55k in total after taxes.

I chose to drive it out later to avoid the Toronto rush hour chaos and drove at night basically. Less trucks, less traffic in general lowering my odds of rock chips.

This car is perfection! I couldn’t be happier with my pick!

That is so awesome - congrats again. I almost shed a tear reading your post to my wife haha. I showed her your car almost every day for a few months but alas, she told me to cram it. We just aren’t ready with three kids needing university tuition. But my turn will come - this I know.

I look forward to reading of your impressions and upgrades come spring time! The car looked to be in mint condition. Enjoy!

Welcome! I recently picked mine up, also a 2015 USB w/ black interior, and drove it across the US to get it home from MN to AZ, about 2000 miles (3200 km).

2000 miles is one heck of a first drive.

Congrats on your purchase.

Mine is also stored for our winter.

Sounds like you got a great deal.

Thats a great way of getting to know your machine! Reminds me of when I bought my Porsche. I flew in one way from Ottawa to California in 2010 when the CAD was par with USD and drove back to Ottawa. A total of 4,500km. That was the longest journey I have ever done for a car. But in all honesty it was all worth it. I would’ve never found a cobalt blue 4S in Canada hence why I did all that to get my hands on one!

I love the blue on this RCF! I was debating the black or white also but it didn’t do it as much justice as the blue.

Thank you! I usually buy my cars slightly used and let someone else take the first depreciation hit. I hope these cars hold their value over time as I plan on keeping it prestine and selling high in about 4-5 yrs since the car would be in a premium state. Lexus, and specifically a unique/rare model like this should hold their value well!

Hey congrats on the car, and welcome to the forums! Im in Vaughan - member of the Club Lexus Toronto group.

If you are looking to do spacers, my recommendation is to do 15mm on the rear and 20mm on the front - the fitment will be perfect with no rubbing using OEM tires.

Got these from bloxsport.com. I had to place a special order, because they only list the 6061-T6 spacers online and i wanted the higher strength 7075-T6 aluminum.
