Secondary Collision Brake System / Parking Support Brake Malfunction?
Started my car this afternoon to do some work in the garage. The display immediately had these 3 warning messages:
Check Engine. Visit Your Dealer
Secondary Collision Brake System Malfunction. Visit Your Dealer.
Parking Support Brake Malfunction. Visit Your Dealer.
Has anyone experienced the same? It is a strange occurrence for a new car, never had such an experience on previous Lexus vehicles.

Hmmm, sounds similar to a problem I had a few years back with my 2010 460 at 190,000 miles. It was actually tied into the pre-collision system. It wound up being a couple of bad sensors that had to be replaced. Ran about $300, if memory serves.

Thanks for the information! Thankfully, this should be covered by warranty.

Same thing happened when my pre-collision sensors went bad. I took it in 4 times over a 9 month period, but the light always seemed to go out when I took it in. They were finally able to duplicate the issue and determine the cause.

These kinds of issues are normal on the first model year of ANY car. If you were talking about a 2019, I'd say you some legitimate gripes. But on a 2018, they're simply growing pains.

Happened to me two days ago when starting the car in evening for meeting. Same messages. Brought it in to dealer and they said it was gas cap wasn't on right and set if off a day after I had car filled up. I tell the attendant in NJ not to top off tank, but they did anyway. Had it reset at dealer yesterday.

Same issue on 2021 RX 350
I have 25,000 miles on our 2021 RX 350 and went out to use the car and these warning messages plus traction control off message and the check engine light are all on. I tried to turn the traction control back on with the switch but it is not responding. Gas cap is on correctly. Drove the car around the neighborhood and the brake pedal feels a bit different (less responsive). Assume it is safe to drive to dealer.

Had something crazy happen to me today in my 2018 F sport today. As I’m coming off the highway the whole car shutdown. All types of lights coming on. Check engine, Secondary brake system malfunction, Collision system malfunction, Emergency parking brake malfunction, and the car refuse to start. Total shutdown. And because I was on the exit ramp of the highway Lexus Roadside couldn’t get to me. I had to pay for towing and bring it to the nearest Lexus dealer. Hopefully Its nothing crazy and I’ll be back. But crazy situation today. Actually scary!! The Dealer said this is rare!! They think its the battery but who knows!!!
