Default Something that annoys you or you love?

Hi all,

I just picked up a 2019 ES350 F-Sport to test, so far it's pretty impressive and a huge leap over the previous gen IMO.

I will be doing a video review of it and just wondering what little quirks annoy you, or something that you really really enjoy about this new model?

I like to review my cars with a viewpoint of a normal person not some wanna be car reviewer (I've been doing this for 11 years now) so I have a lot of experience but hearing from owners is always excellent value add.

Thanks!

We love the 360 degree view. It was a must-have for any new car we bought.

I hate that Lexus makes you start paying a yearly fee for remote start after a year although it's already built in... SUCKS!

And if I may add the stupidity of the engine shutting off when you open the door after remote start....

AFAIK Toyota is the only manufacturer that does that. I don't get why they don't change it...

It's not really built in. It has an external dependency on Lexus services. The app doesn't send a signal directly to the car. The app sends a signal to Lexus over the internet and Lexus sends the request to the car.

As far as the car turning off I think that's a security measure so no one can steal the car. Personally it won't bother me that much. My main reason for wanting it is to cool it down in the summer and warm it up it the winter. When I get to work I'll just leave the heater/AC and seat warmer/cooler on. When I'm ready to walk out of the office I remote start. By the time I get to the car it will be a perfect temp. It won't change much in the few seconds it takes me to get in and turn it back on.

No, not changed. After one year it's $80.00 per year to keep it...

Perhaps you're correct. All that I know is that when you take delivery of your shiny new Lexus the RS works. After one year forget it because Lexus turns it off unless you come up with the money... POOR.

If you can afford a loaded ES, you can afford $80 a year 😋 Or just be like the plebs and enter a hot or cold car. Maybe I'm weird because I don't run the heater unless it's 0C outside.

What was changed is that some of the Enform services, such as the Service Connect became free for 10 years, but the annual subscription charge for Enform Remote is still in effect.

Yes, I can afford $80. a year. You're missing the point. It should be free FOR A LOADED ES...

True - its a nickel and dime approach by them and even more annoying theres no dedicated remote start right on the fob. Gee whiz my crappy GM suv from ten years ago had that on the fob.

Welcome to the future where everything is a (paid) service. The only way out is to have a direct connection between remote and the car that allows remote start, without bouncing to the cloud and back.
