Default Suggestions on how to go about changing the interior colour of the seats and trim?

Hi all so i am a recent member, One of the things i really wanted to do is change the interior from a tan to some other colour wherever it is tan on the interior.
Any suggestions on methods of doing this? There was a product called "Colorbond" which is to my knowledge unavailable in Canada for redoing the tan trim pieces. It looked promising though. It will be a lot of work i am aware of this but it really is the one and only thing that needs to be addressed asap lol. Other than that i love everything about the vehicle (2008 2is 350).

Any and all advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
D

Best way to change the seats and panels is to find a salvaged Lexus and take those parts.I think Colorbond is more for restoring the same color vs a completely different color.

I have looked into the salvage idea...i guess the is250 and is350 are direct swap compatible for interior? If so this gives me a lot more options lol.

Just an idea, but you can color dye. Panels are expensive, used, but if you have the money then go for it.
I need a drivers panel, **** is cracking and the stealership said mine weren't considered a part of the "recall" under their opinion. How are your panels? Hows your dash? Have you been to the dealership to get them exchanged out? If not, look into it. I had my dash swapped out from the recall.

I do not have any objections to color dying, however which product do you recommend for the dye itself? Or would this require a professional? I would really like to try and tackle this as a DIY project so i can take my time with it but make sure i do the best work on it. My dash and panels are not cracking at all.

I had the same thoughts about wanting to change out my IS350 tan interior... I ultimately decided to just get an ISF with a black interior. Though I enjoy the ISF I occasionally reflect back to the day I bought the IS350 - I denied the FSport package at the time as it I bought my 350 used and it was much cheaper but had I elected to buy the FSport I'm sure I'd still have it.

I bought another is350. Swapped everything (door panel, seats, lower dash, glove box) and sold it for the same price. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just a FWIW if you ever sprayed any kind of silicone anything on it, do not attempt to stain or paint. It won't stick.

Did you price OEM seat covers in another color?
Plastic can be painted if prepped right. It does wear tho!
