Default 2007 Lexus IS 250 - Check VSC, Traction Control, ABS

Hello,
I have a 2007 Lexus IS 250 and earlier today while driving the Check VSC, Traction Control and ABS lights came on. No Check Engine Light. Any ideas?

Scan for the code being thrown.

Hi Gville350. I tried to scan the code yesterday with my ODB2 reader, and it didn't pick anything up. Today, the car ran without any lights being shown. I'll be bringing in to my mechanic to see if he is able to read a stored code, will report back shortly.

Last Friday night I had the same codes pop up. Except mine said check AWD system. It drove fine for the next 20 miles or so. Plugged in my scanner when I got home. It has ABS capability, and no codes appeared. Turned off the car and started it back up. The lights went off on their own. That night I searched the forums on CL. The only thing that would pop up is about a loose gas cap for some reason. I did fill up before my drive that night. So maybe I didn't tighten it well as I have an aftermarket STANT cap. Yeah keep this thread posted as I'm curious as what the service tech has to say.

Received another code yesterday. Check engine light, check VSC and traction control. Was able to scan the code myself, PO172. Will mention it to the mechanic tomorrow when I bring it in... I cleared the code afterwards.

P0172 is a CEL for a faulty O2 sensor. Don't immediately run out and grab a replacement though, as SOMETIMES (after a few heat cycles) these O2 codes tend to work themselves out.

Any updates on the condition of your lexus ottawa?

Also have an 07 IS250, mine is RWD, Curious to know what you found out. I had the same lights come on my dash (Check VSC, TRAC CONTROL, ABS & Check Engine) (I think the Check Engine stayed on for a week then went away for a few weeks & came back on) after replacing my spark plugs a little over 2 months ago. Don't exactly remember what codes I got, but multiple codes for pretty much every sensor I disconnected. I figured no biggie, they would clear themselves out. Just recently, my ABS light & check engine light turned off by themselves. (my AFS OFF light that has also been on for a while, has also turned off !)
Traction control is still on but I still have traction here in CO after dealing with very ice roads & moderate snow conditions. I have not had time to reach out to my buddy to borrow to code reader but I'll see if I can get it soon & update on the what codes I am receiving. Hope all is well with you !

Seems a lot of us have had these codes lately or a combination thereof (P0171/P0174 or P0172/P0175). According to what I've read online it is something to do with one of these areas...I'm going to start with the MAF tomorrow and go from there...

- Mass air flow sensor
- Air induction system
- Injector blockage
- Fuel pressure
- Exhaust gas leakage system
- Front heated oxygen sensor (bank 1 sensor 1)
- Front heated oxygen sensor (bank 2 sensor 1)
- ECM

I also found this document in another thread which was helpful:

Sorry for the late response, so update:
The other day when it got super cold & snowy out, the ABS & AFS OFF dash lights came back on but the next day when it warmed up, they went off again & have not come back on since. (Please see below) I still have the Check Engine light on & Trac control (ignore TPMS lol) & still have check VSC message.

The codes I am receiving are: (As seen below)
P0010 - CAMSHAFT POSITION "A" ACTUATOR CIRCUIT
P0441 - Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0010 - CAMSHAFT POSITON "A" ACTUATOR CIRCUIT (BANK 1)

I will go ahead & look into what Kevin3344 said as the link seems to be the check list for troubleshooting these codes/issues. When I have the time, I will go ahead & make sure mass air flow is clean & maybe re-check all the hoses & clean my throttle body again. will update as soon as I can

hey, I saw your post on the other thread.

the car turning all of the lights on is an indicator that you have a code that need to be scanned. Depending on where you are in the world you can likely go into an auto parts store or a shop and they can use an OBD II scanner to check your engine codes. The code will let you know what if anything is wrong. You can reset the codes with the scanner (a lot of the times they are emissions related, and depending on where you are in the world that may or may not matter). If you simply reset the codes and don’t fix the issue you can expect them back within a few hundred or thousand KM’s.

hope it helps!

Folks, even when the CEL turns off, the ECU stores data about the cause and circumstances.

Look at the Freeze Frame data stored as the conditions under which it was generated will help you diagnose the cause and possible correction.

I am having a similar issue. I replaced all pads and rotors on my 2006 is250 plus left rear caliper.. Now have ABS, VSC and Traction control light on. Shifter lock is in place because of these codes. Any suggestions?
