I have my 1998 gs400 and I noticed that when I turn my lights on only my outer ones come on. When I put on highbeams then the inner ones light up. Are they only high beams in the inner headlight?

I believe the small bulb in the high beam housing is for the parking light

Yes the smaller lights in the high beam housing are parking lamps. Unlike later models, the 98s/99s don't have DRLs. This is actually a nicer look when you put LED bulbs in and can drive with your parking lights on. Later models are stuck with DRLs and a full headlight on look at all times.

I have the hid. I also see a fuse for drl under the hood. The fuse is missing , what will happen if I put one in there? How do I turn on my parking lights? I don't think I've ever seen them on.
