Default LEVEL UP 200,000 smiles

As of a few days ago, I'm proud to say that I've been the original owner of this IS F. After 10 years, 1 month, and 8 days...my car has made it to 200,000 miles. Below are some of my favorite photos throughout the years....there are a lot more but this is all i got for now :P

Southern California...she's been here her whole life with me. Don't have to deal with all that snow etc on the east coast.

thats why i asked... your car still looks so good. It’s kind of a pain, if you want to keep a car clean here you need something else to drive in the winters. I’m about to put mine up for the winter. Thankfully I have an is350 to drive. Unfortunately I have two cars that i tinker with and mod.

It costs more money to have two cars in indiana... but man o man is the economy cheaper here than out west.

Heres to the next 200k with your beauty!

She still looks great! Do you plan on keeping it forever? I'm about to hit 184k on mine.

I do plan on keeping the car. I mean, there's no reason to sell it as it still performs excellent. And besides...what do i sell it for? $10k? No thanks. I'll drive it into the ground before I sell it for $10k

Just lots of brakes, tires, oil changes, etc. If you go back and read some old posts, I did have the transmission replaced at 87k miles. Other than that, just a water pump, at 87k, new radiator at 120k, spark plugs every 60k. Hasn't been a whole lot to get it to 200k.

You know they're shot huh? You've never seen my car, never driven it, but hey, you know the motor mounts are shot. Yeah..........nah.

I don’t recall the details, but I think RR stated that the motor mounts generally go around 100k or less. They still are connected, but they develop a lot of slack and movement. I may be incorrect.

Im glad you are keeping it. Go for the record! That is one of the best parts of these cars. You drive them as long as you can stand too. Otherwise, there’s yet to be found a mileage limit.

Yea, no one ever complained about motor mount issues/never had an issue til RR Racing came out with motor mounts.....now suddenly they get the info out that all need to be changed when you do headers or either at 100k miles........
I like what RR Racing is doing with our platform, but I must say, certain things are said/put our there soley for revenue. Is this one of those things?!?! Can't say for sure but kind of hard to imagine.

I've done alot of mounts in my day, OEM on any brand max i've seen is 125k on my old acura tl

i know one of mines went bad on the F at 81k, at dead idle with no ac or headlights in D ... i can feel my car shake.... pulled the subframe and only one of my mounts were bad. (still debating on oem of rafi)

but thats me at 81K at 106K its gotten worse ... you at 200K ... the odds alone says its worth a look. * to be honest im just really curious, always like tearing down and taking a look at higher mileage performance cars*

but 200k miles worth of heat cycles on a liquid filled rubber mount...I GOTTA SEE IT!!!!! ....if you do motor mounts please take plenty of pics

I asked for motor mounts before RR released them because I was wanting something stiffer than OEM.

I doubt it was “solely” for revenue. There are quite a few who like the RR mounts over OEM.

True, I take that back...not SOLEY for revenue, but more for revenue than "performance" as advertised.
