hi guys today i tried installing coil overs and i took the lower control arm bolt off and 3 top nuts on the strut tower but than i took off the middle nut aswell, now theres to much compression and i cant get the suspension out please can anyone help me out .thanks in advance

thanks for the video , i did all that but i accidentally took off the middle nut on the top aswell and now there is to much force and i cant take it out

Did you manage to separate the upper control arm from the knuckle? If so, you should have enough room to pull it out. You might need to push down on the lower control arm to get it free

yer i took off the upper control arm but still wont budge , really wished i did not take off that middle nut ,i tried jacking under the lca to see if i can thread the nut back in but it doesn't go up high enough...

Can you just unbolt the LCA from the knuckle, and let it swing down? Support the weight of the rear axle on the rotor with another jack or block. Support under the rear knuckle to prevent bending the rotor shield.

where is it located and this is for the fronts not for the rear

Ah my bad. I was under the impression it was a rear wheel.

For the fronts it looks tough. A lot of things to disconnect.

yer luck is not on my side today .... would you happen to have any more suggestions ? because im sure i cant drive the car to the shop now since the nut is off

​​​​​​How much clearance do you need? Try supporting the weight on the LCA center. Disconnect the inner bolt that holds it to the subframe, and remove the LCA rear bushing as well. It should drop some. If not hold out for more advice.

Put support on the subframe as well by the rear lower bushing. It will drop a tad too. I'm seeing maybe disconnect the sway bar link to the sway bar also. Leave it mounted on the LCA.

So since the top hat is complete off. Be careful maybe the spring will want to shoot out.

pretty much when ever i push down the spring pushes out more so yer i will try that now thanks for all the help man really appreciate it

i understand your issue. all you need to do is completely unbolt and remove the front lower control arm. basically 3 fasteners. Plus the sway bar link. take the control arm off completely and the entire shock assembly will be free. just make to support the brake rotor assembly. have a friend help you or use a jack. not hard. take your time and don't panic.

make sure the vehicle is level in the front and or the rear which ever your doing first. drivers side and pass side have to be at roughly the same height in order to remove the sway bar links. for the rear you'll have to disconnect the control arm from the spindle 1 bolt and there is one more lower arm 1 bolt to disconnect before you can lower the control arm and remove the shock assembly. also need to disconnect the sway bar link in order to lower the control arm. never remove the center bolt which holds the spring under tension at the shock mount unless you already have the assembly out.
