Default FIREHAWK INDY 500 Size

I currently have 275/30 on my stock rim which this size is on back order. So does anyone run 285/30 on the stock rim? Any issues with running this size.

What year ISF, wheel widths changed increased by ½" in 2012. I ran 285s on my stock 9" wheels, but that's wider than tire manufacturer's recommendations. 285/30 on the later 9½" wheels would be no problem. BTW, a search would have led you here:

Not my favorite brand of tire, but they are inexpensive.

Speak of the devil, I'm planning on running these tires as well. Was wondering what is the max size I can run them with my 2012 wheels dropped on Swift springs without rubbing on stock fenders. I was planning on running 245/35/19 in the front and 275/30/19 in the rears. Was wondering if anyone else up-sized their tires without fender modifications/rubbing?

Plenty of people running 285/30 on stock 12 plus rears.

Exact sizes I went to recently on my '12 F and I'm lowered on all 4 corners on swift springs and zero rubbing. Whenever I need new rears, I'll try 285/30. I also still believe there's room for a 15mm spacer to finish the flush look off.

I've been running 245/35 and 275/30 in these tires on my 2012 for 1.5 years with no issues. I do have swift springs in the front only. When I get my next set I'm planning on going with 255/35 and 285/30 which shouldn't present any issues with fitment.

I just found a quote in a different thread of a guy running 255/35/19 fronts, 285/30/19 rears. I might just do the same.

EDIT: I'm going to do 255/35/19 and 275/30/19, my friend says 285 is a bit wide for 9.5 wheels. Some complain of being too "boaty/flexing".

Will report back when they come in and get installed - hoping no need to roll fenders.

Just got them installed. No clearance issues front or rear. Ride quality is much smoother/quieter compared to the old Pilot Super Sports (stock sizes). Soon as they are broken in I'm sure it'll be light years ahead traction-wise as my old tires felt like driving on ice.

Also happy with visual difference going from 255 to 285! (left side:255, right side:285)

^^^^255/35/19 will work fine an an 8½" wide wheel. I'm running 255/35/19 and 295/30/19 on my RCF wheels. No issues up front. I believe Lance is also running 255/35/19 on his 2012 wheels.

BTW, your friend is wrong.

Some folks did complain when they were mounted on a 9" wheel, but not on a 9½" wheel.

Thanks Lou! I might just go with 255/285s then. Are your RCF wheels also 9.5? Do you like them?

I’ve got that from a lot of people. But for the money and the comparative performance, they really are hard to beat.

Took a gamble on them and couldn’t be happier. Lot of people have tried them on different makes and models and have said the same thing.

No, RCF wheels are 9s and 10s. That's why I'm able to run 295s in the back. And, you've seen 'em - Remember

I’m running Firehawk. 245/35/19 front on a 19x8.5 and 285/30/19 on the rear with a 9.5 rim no issues all wheels are +22 offset

I know it was asking for stock wheels but mine are the same size just more aggressive offset plus I also have a 10mm spacer up front lowered on swift springs with no issues so anyone with stock wheels should have no trouble with these sizes
