I would start any looking for any leaks from the struts. At that mileage they are probably due to be changed anyway. They are also the biggest contributor to maintaining a smooth ride.

Looks at the struts for leaks/oil stains and all bushing for cracks.

My car is 130K miles and I didnt see anything fail so far except for a ripped CV boot. you can always inspect the following:
-while tire is off the ground, try to wiggle it hard with your hand at 12 o'clock and the other hand at 6 o'clock , do the same with 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock . if there is movement then check behind to see which part is moving and that part should be replaced
- try to inspect visually all bushings for cracks
-check CV boots for rips
-try shaking tie rods, stabalizer links hard. there should be no movement.
At the end I would say noise while driving or turning the wheels is the best indicator that something needs replacement.

Believe it or not I'm at almost 210k now on my 460, and the suspension is all still original, even the struts. I have them checked every service but no leaks and no play so why replace. Our suspension seems to be very sturdy in our cars compared to the 2GS, it was common for those to need ball joints and tie rods

Its a lower control rear arm bushing, #4 in your first pic. The reason why I replaced that bushing was because my steering wheel would wonder on uneven pavement. This fixed it!
But can you better explain the "harsh ride" is it boucy, is it making funky noises? If its bouncy then most likely you have bad front struts #6.

Rockauto.com now sells AWD KYB front shocks and rear struts/shocks. The rear KYB shocks you can use either RWD or AWD they are both the same, only the front AWD differ from the RWD. I installed RWD on my AWD rear KYB they were identical to oem, because kyb is the supplier to lexus.
Also if your car has adaptive suspension, KYB doesnt sell those in aftermarket. You will need to buy OEM if you wanted to keep that function. But you can still run them just by leaving the system unplugged, many have gone this route.

I have had 2 instances where I have changed the struts and it turned out that the strut mount bearing needed replacement also. Highly recommended to replace this also so you dont do the same job later.
