Default Highly recommended for all ls owners

Just installed LED rear turn signal’s that I purchased on ebay courtesy of @artesuave. The link is right here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LASFIT-7440...72.m2749.l2649

The difference is really night and day. The left turn signal is the LASFIT product and the right turn signal is the factory turn signal bulb.

Ouch...both sides, for just the rear, is $100.

Well...I have to admit, I do want to get them, though I wish there were a way to get some kind of sequential amber LEDs in there which looked good.

Nope, one order has 2 bulbs in it. Which means you pay $50 for 2 bulbs for the rear. not $100

No, we have two turn indicator bulbs in the rear, per side.

IOW, 4 bulbs for the rear, $100.

Hi

i just ordered two sets and when I went to cash out it gave me a 20.00 discount. So, while they are kind of expensive for lights, the safety factor for being much brighter seems worth it. I have been behind my car at night and those lights from factory are pretty dull, so I am giving this a shot.

Thanks for for the tip.

I replaced the bulbs myself yesterday. I know for a fact that there is only 1 bulb per rear taillight. Check for yourself. You only need 1 order for both taillights.

To be fair, I've thrown that much ($80) at this car in LEDs which weren't good enough to keep in place...so I'll likely do it.

Might be a while, though. Found out, last week, the contracting company I work for lost the contract, and the new people are blithering idiots, so first, job search.

So sorry to hear about the job situation Kelly. Hopefully, you will find something soon.

Just as FYI, I am attaching a bulb list for 2010 LS 460.

2010 LS bulb requirements.

Ah, Mahad...I see.

I think we're talking about different sub-generations. I noticed your tail lamp looks slightly different from mine.

The 2007-2009s, at the very least, have four bulbs for rear indicators, total.

I'd be down with one, because one of the two fell out of the socket when I was last in there (before now) and it was a drag fishing the bulb out of the housing.

Thanks, Cubbylex! Yeah, this is merely the reason I need to move back to the mountains outside Denver. I miss living at 8,500 feet of elevation, though, lemme tell ya, 380 sea-level HP isn't really enough up there. Turns into about 280 HP when you're in the 'foothills'.

Lemme put it this way, traction and VSC 'off', powerbraking on cold, wet asphalt (it was snowing, but 34F), and not one lick of wheelspin.

If I do that here in Fort Worth, there's 15'+ of Continental tracks left on the pavement...in the dry.

So, really thinking of heading back? I have been here in all the seasons, but only visiting. It is beautiful, but I am a native here so, there ya go!

Anyway, OP and Kelly, thanks for the above info. Looking forward to changing mine for better light up. Even in daytime, I know these will help. Crazy drivers here in North Texas!

Yep. Born and raised in Dallas, but seven months after getting married in 1997, my wife and I moved to 9K feet of elevation.

Pro-tip, don't move to the Colorado mountains in December.

Sure, it may snow 5"-7" in June*, but meh. Worth it for a summer of 70-80F during the day and 45-50F at night. Oh, and single-digit relative humidity.

I'll take 13F in winter over 113F in the summer, thanks. Sure, Denver gets to triple-digits, but again, super-low humidity. Dry air works the same with cold as it does with hot.

As a huge bonus, I learned I'm severely allergic (14.6 on a scale which goes to 15) to Timothy grass, which doesn't grow up there. Woot!!! Down here, however, it's freakin' everywhere! Not ever having lived anywhere but Dallas county, I thought the allergic crap I had was 100% normal.

*The day of our house closing, June 7, 1998, snowed half a foot...and it was the almost slushy kind of snow, so it was like shoveling concrete. Worse, I'd already swapped wheels/tires on my wife's car to the summer set.

Good luck with the job Kelly. Sorry to hear about the problem.

On the note of the lights, I was not aware that the ‘07-‘09 models had 2 bulbs in each taillamp. Thats interesting to know. I wonder if the OEM bulbs in the older model’s are brighter than the ones in the newer models, since there are 2 bulbs instead of 1.

Cubbylex, you must be on the Dallas side of the Dallas/Tarrant county line.

After we moved from Irving, I vowed to never live in Dallas (or Collin) county, again. Still, moved back to take care of family...who was in Dallas county.

Tarrant's better, honestly. Perfect? No...but light years ahead of all of the west coast and Vegas.

Hi.

No, I live on Fort Worth side. Dallas is where I am from, but got out as fast as I could.

This is side is friendlier, kind of like Dallas used to be.

anyway, looking forward to new bulbs. Also, while your job situation is scary, I am sure you are good at what you do so you probably won’t have too much trouble. Thumbs up for success.
