Default Real(?) RC F V8 Engine Swap in IS 250 (Instagram Page)

So I'm just browsing instagram and I came across a Russian video of an LC 500 and an "IS 500" (250) having a rev off. It looks like the IS has a V8 from a donor RC F, and it looks pretty legit. Any thoughts on this, price, reliability, legitimacy, etc.? I've tried searching it online but I've come across nothing. Also, it might be lady-owned lol.

The mismatched wheels.

It does look like they did some things to the hood, so maybe it will close? Curious what kind of noise/heat issues could result from that.

should be a fairly straightforward swap -- just swap the locks and wiring over along w/ the mechanicals and fuel. There wouldn't be provisions for the front tower brace but should be fine. may need a custom hood.

RCF seats in the 3IS would be cool as hell.
Was wondering when someone would start a engine swap from the F cars.
If it turns out to be easy, I'm going to also wonder why Lexus didn't just offer it.

I can’t tell, but it looks like they even swapped over the RCF gauges and center console over to the IS. Does anyone think it would be feasible to swap the gauges to the RCF style (not regarding cost)?

It's just them promoting their friend's music. Russian Electro House if you're into that 😂

Yep, you're right about the gauges and center console. It seems possible to me given that the front part of the RC and IS interiors is nearly identical, but I'm just guessing. And if you look above the nav SD card slot, it has the ML marking, but the volume and tuning ***** aren't the white ML ones, so surely something must have been done to that interior.

It's real lol

I spoke to him on IG. Looks like they bought a full RCF from Copart and shipped to Russia. According to him, he had to make a custom radiator and use an aftermarket hood (MV tuning) other than that it was pretty much a direct mechanical swap with some repining on the electrical side.

I'm wondering if the suspension and frontend could support the significant weight difference between both engines. Or the tranny, transaxle and rear end differential given the difference in muscle?
