convertible top not going down
My trunk opens, and right before the top begins to retract. It stops. It looks like it wants to release (moves a little). Can anyone give an idea where to start troubleshoooting from that point. I search the forums but got overwhelmed with all the info. Thx.

It’s an active test. Do not shut down the motor when scanning for trouble code. Next, is the tonneau cover properly seat in the trunk slots? Is the red open close light constant or flashing? Did the roof close correctly and completely the last time it was operated?

So the sequence is
start the car
press and hold the open button
simultaneously the all windows go down and trunk opens up
left right A pillar latches release you should hear the motor retracting the latches
roof begins moving half way
pkg shelf moves up, wings rotate in
roof continues and stows in trunk
pkg shelf returns to starting position...
so whats not happening?
a guess, and it’s only that, is a limit switch in the left or right lock. But we should be getting a DTC.

Have you checked the fuses tray in the luggage compartment? There are five 20a fuses.
Have you disconnected the battery for a few minutes to let the ECUs reset?

Also, need to know if the windows, all of moved open when you pressed the open button. Also, I wasn’t clear, scan for DTC codes with the key in the ON position, engine does not have to be running.

Just check fuse. They're good.

Ok turn the key to ON and try running the roof with techstream running. Look for error codes. If it stops like it has been doing press the close button roof should relatch and all windows should go back up. Closely examine the “P-tray” fuse in the luggage JBox for hairline fracture.
