ES 330 to 5th Gen/6th Gen ES350
Long story, I own a 2004 ES 330 with about 165,000 miles and I love this car, I paid cash for it, so it was a great "investment" overall.
My idea is to upgrade to something newer as I reach the 200K miles mark and right now I am thinking about a 2009-2012 ES 350.
How does a 5th Gen compare to an ES 330? I have never driven an ES 5th Gen before, so any feeedback would be appreciated.
I have also considered a 2013 Gen 6th but I don't want to spend too much money, I will be paying cash for it and I would like to keep it under 10K if possible.

Thanks for your reply and you are right, even the 2013's 6th Gen are relatively expensive, honestly, I prefer the 5th Gen design over the 6th Gen. I may do something similar to what you did, maybe find a 2009-2011 Gen 5 with relatively low mileage, they still look great IMO.

Es350 5th gen vs 6th gen
make sure when buying any used car you check history car fax report ect and if you have a Lexus dealer close on the test drive go in have em run a diagnostic it’s free most important is that car fax report read it throughly oil changes are on there good service history is most important check body for any color variations ect make sure everything is operational.
if you need any advise feel free to message me

There are some 5th Gens out there with reasonable miles, as I'm looking daily through hundreds of them. Dealers are proud of them and aren't coming down on prices much. I've called on about a dozen, at least, all over the country since I'm looking for a specific year range 2010-2012, under 100k, specific colors, options, etc. Watching the auctions each week, most are selling above MMR (Manheim Market Report) value. Even on there, most of the ES350s I see are in average to below average condition. I have a relative that's a dealer, so I can use the site to look for cars, but there just aren't many good ones to choose from if you're picky like me.

Es 350 2007 vs 2015 6th gen
hi ive owned my 2007 es350 nav 120000miles for 3 weeks love it. i just got back from looking at a 2015 6th gen with a friend i was some what surprised the quality of the car just didnt feel as nice as mine yeah great technology feachers ect but the drive if anything felt a more like a cheaper car the drive train hasnt changed but it felt more like a ford to me not as smooth and refined as my car he's now looking at 5th gen after drivng mine.

Some of the quick lube places are linked to the carfax system. When I bought my '14 F150 some of the oil changes were on the file even though the PO went to a Penske lube joint.

With your price point the 6th gen is out of the equation. And me personally I like the look of the 5th gen better. I think that the 2010 to 2012 ES with low mileage and good service records would be your best bet.

14 model was made in Japan, 16 model could have been one of the first ones made at the Lexus plant in Kentucky or could have been made in Japan also. I like cars made in Japan when I can get em.
