It would have been nice if the seller included the true VIN, rather than a 16 digit number purporting to be the VIN. That type of sloppiness - rightly or wrongly - conveys that s/he just didn't care enough and so might not have been a diligent owner.

LOL you're funny. Ever heard of a mistake? Maybe he missed something. Assuming like that will make your life harder in the long run.

That's a little too far for me to drive from O'Hare after work, but if you find one on the North end of Chicago up through Southeastern Wisconsin, I'm your guy!

Of course it was a mistake. Potential buyers draw unfavorable conclusions from poorly crafted ads whether due to language, accuracy, or staging.

My guess is that they missed the 9th digit or tenth digit. Easy enough to do. Hit or miss on craigslist ads. You really need to call up the person and talk to them to see if its worth the visit or not.

My problems with this car is that he has it overpriced. I suspect he is simply flipping the car based on a hunch. He does state that he is the second owner and if you look up his phone number and do some other sleuthing, I'm not sure that I'd want to make any deals with this guy...

well saying that he doesnt or never takes care of his car because he made a mistake is a ridiculous statement.

Used car prices have really gone up. It looks like people have realized that modern cars are very reliable and willing to pay more.

Can't tell if it's a true UL. It has the switches on the dash but the wheels aren't chrome either. Need more pictures to tell

The correct VIN is probably JTHBN36F455013981

I worked with VIN's for a number of years in the 1980's as an insurance company manager. It's often not hard to figure out a correct VIN if only one character is left out.

Not all UL had chrome wheels. When I bought mine, I had test driven a UL without chrome wheels.

I don't drive a UL but I'm fairly certain the translucent plastic rectangle behind the grill emblem, only found on UL's, is there to help protect this rather expensive cruise control module.

Chrome wheels were an option on all models, including the UL.
