rear trunk swap
hey everyone, i found a trunk with the oem spoiler and want put it on my non factory equipped spoilered trunk. is it a direct fit? being that the spoilerd trunk has a 3rd brake light or is the brake wiring different or connectors different.

Just from looking at GS's that I have seen in the junkyard I do not think it will be a big deal. Looks like all years use the 2 same license plate bulb connectors and center taillight section looks similar to so just make sure you have the extended brake light harness from the trunk with the spoiler since that should be the only difference. Worst case scenario you have to make/extend a small two wire harness but if you follow the wiring harness from the trunk with the spoiler on it, you should find your answer.
Side note unless you already knew: You have 3 adjustments for torsion on the trunk so when you get your trunk with a spoiler installed, you can find a good spot you prefer to make opening your trunk a bit easier. You may need to change those tension bars also from the trunk with the spoiler if the lift is not that easy due to the extra weight of the spoiler.
