About the IS’s bay size?!
Hi there,
I was trying to know about the bay dimensions. 😞💔 I want to know about it to make sure if it’s possible to swap its engine 🌝. If anyone has any idea about its dimensions please let me know. Thank you all,

if you plan on swapping in the V8 from the RCF & GSF it won’t fit the 3IS was not designed to have a large engine under the bay, try RR Racing’s supercharger kit it’ll bump the power a lot and give you a 3.9-4.0 0-60 time which is in line with the other competitors that are a step up from their normal 6 cylinder variants (340i-M3, C43-C63, S4-RS4)

Thank you for your reply. I’m not looking to gain power, I’d like to feel the V8 engine 🌚. I was thinking to swap it to Coyote 🌚😂😂. Just to clarify you can see that I’m in a high level of craziness. 😂😂😂

A coyote swap would be crazy but likely not worth the time/effort/$$ as the result (aside from the sound/feel of a V8) would be similar to that of the forced induction available from RR racing. Cool idea tho

Better idea is to buy a RCF totalled from a rear end accident and that way you can grab subframe and front suspension from it and swap the whole front end over and hybrid mate the wiring harness of the front of the RCF to the IS chassis harness. Hood will have to be custom with a hump so it clears the taller V8 motor.
This has been an idea that has been floating around my head for a while .

all you guys talking about these ridiculous engine/frame swaps. RC-F Subframe, V8 Coyote, TTV6 from LS500, are you all talking out of your asses, rich enough to not give a crap about return on investment, or all of the above?
