Yes indeed.

Back in 2013 our OLD 2000 LX470 got rear ended at moderate to high speed while standing still on an exit ramp waiting to exit on the freeway in SoCal. A late model Nissan Maxima crashed into our LX470 rear end and went under the bumper. The Nissan Maxima front end got TOTALLY destroyed while our rear end of LX470 fared very well with only seemingly cosmetic damages. The Nissan Maxima was declared TOTALED while our LX470's total repair bill was around $4500 while was TOTALLY covered by the lady driver's insurance with the Nissan Maxima. We traded in our old LX470 later the sane year for a brand new 2013 LX570.

Shoulda kept it as is and kept the money!!! Oh well, my wife didn't wanta drive around in a nice LX with a scratched rear bumper.

The cost to repair the front is always going to cost more than to repair the rear given the similar circumstances.
