Default I need help 99 GS 400 nav unit

My navigation screen is plain white. It used to work most of the time, and sometimes it would just come up white. Now it comes up white all the time. I've looked into replacing it but I'm tight on money right now as I've got to do some work on my Mercedes airmatic suspension. So what I need help with is can anybody tell me the audio controls. All my buttons work but I just can't see what's happening on the screen. So basically what I need to know is. If I push the audio button to change the fade or the bass or the treble what order do they come up in. For example press once fade front to back fade comes up press twice left to right. I'm perfectly fine with operating like this until I can afford the replacement screen. If somebody could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. It's the 1999 GS 400
