Default Doing a F-Sport conversion in 2018?

I want to do an F-sport conversion on my 2013 GS (I know a little late to the game). I called my local dealer and they don't offer the conversion kit anymore. They quoted me about $1800 in parts without it being painted. How would I approach doing the F-sport conversion and trying to save the most money as possible?

Well... First... Are you doing anything by yourself? Do you have shop friends etc who can give you a hand if needed? This conversion might cost you too much at the end buddy... I've built like 3 salvage GS350s and not planning to do this on mine even know what needs to be done. I think Lexus never offered conversion kit, just my 2c.

If you are going this route anyway, here is my recommendations...
- Use parts.com for diagrams (there are couple more if you google)
- Use ebay.com, car-parts.com to find used parts vs new at dealer. You might end up buying some from a dealer anyway.
- Search forum here, someone already have done it.

Note: Most savings you get from used parts & right people at the shop!

On your 2013: Are you trying to get the 2016+ F Sport look or are you trying to get the original '13-'15 F Sport look?

Yeah, they changed the headlights starting in 2016. That will be the most expensive part of your quest. Headlight assemblies are like $2000/each.

I'm looking for the original '13-15' F sport look. I'm not a fan of the new 16' front facia.

If you're going for the original F-Sport look of the '13-'15 models, to save the most money and basically get the look, my suggestion would be:

1. Keep your existing bumper and buy the mesh upper and lower grilles and install yourself. The grilles shouldn't cost you more than $300. Here's how the standard bumper looks with the F sport mesh grilles:

2. Look out for a set of 19" F-Sport wheels on eBay (you might be able to grab a set for around $1000)

3. Add the rear lip spoiler: eBay has a few that are under $100 that look very similar to the OEM f-sport spoiler. CarID sells one as well: https://www.carid.com/2013-lexus-gs-...er-941641.html

To save money, you'd have to try to get the cost down on the most expensive parts which would be the F-sport wheels/tires and a new F-Sport bumper...

Also, if you do get the OEM Fsport bumper, there is a difference between the 2013 and 2014+ bumpers. The main difference are the parking sensor holes in the front. I believe the 2013 have a larger diameter than the 2014+.
