Default Has anyone tried to install the Prado 150 ARB Bumper on the GX460?

Keep in mind, this is for a base model as I continue to plan and see if the 2010-2013 GX460 is worth it to buy and mod.

Looking at videos and photos of both the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150, and GX460, it seems that this bumper could fit since it still requires trimming out a portion of the Prado's existing bumper which would have to be done on the GX460 anyway. You can see how much of the original bumper is used at the 20 second-mark in the video below.

Link to the video below!!!

If you are talking about the rims in the video, yes they are the stock rims found on the higher-end Prado trims.

It's amazing how many parts these two vehicles share. I only wish they shared the same mod support.

Default Contacted ARB about Prado 150 fitment on a 2010-2013 GX460...

I asked ARB directly about bumper/bullbar fitment on their Australia Facebook page:

They then redirected me to the ARB USA Facebook page:

Which leads us to this conclusion:

Default As soon as I get mine.

I'm going to bring it up to Sterling Equipment Manufacturing in Umatilla, Florida. They custom make brush guards and such. I've had several of their's on my prior trucks and they are awesome. They have quite the tooling facility in house as well. True craftsmen with steel and powder coating. Whenever a new model comes out though, they need a specimen for a day or two to make numerous measurements and verify angles. Not an easy process. Especially since GX owners are not exactly plentiful to begin with, and they will not make a large run if at all.

I think this is the reason why ARB won't test the bumper on the GX. I was looking closely at both the Prado and Lexus GX460 photos and it seems like the border where the bumper and fender meet are in the same location on both vehicles so I don't know why ARB mentioned fenders needed to be cut when it appears cuts will only be made on the front existing bumper. I just don't think ARB will shell out money, time, or personnel to test a bumper because the number of potential buyers will be really low.

Holly crap!! You can ram through a building or choose to pull it down with that truck while submerged in water.

You are correct. It is recommended that rear differential, transmission, and transfer case breathers be raised if water crossings are anticipated. It is also known as a "scuba mod".

My wife was looking over my shoulder when I was checking out this ARB bumper. She said if that thing ends up on my GX your buying me an RX. Bumper looks freaking sweet.

Cool bumper...just a "little" cutting to make it work.
