The car has a slight burning smell.

Ok I had it diagnosed and there are misfires on two cylinders. What’s the suggestion!
Thank you guys!!

Misfire on 2 cylinders could be caused by:
1. bad coil pack.... if you know which cylinders are misfiring, switch the coil packs to see if the misfire moves with it.
2. bad injector... more difficult to troubleshoot.
3. mice chewing up your injector wires and causing it not to work... just experienced this last week.
This is a start. Check the FAQ and the search function is useful also. There is no magic answer here. Going to have to look at possible causes and then start ruling them out 1 by 1.
Good luck.

Agree, it it's not been done in a while...or ever, that would be where I would start.
We're assuming you've got some mechanical aptitude and don't mind tackling this yourself.
Otherwise it's simple... have it towed to your favorite Lexus independent mechanic

They were not done so I will start there. Hopefully they can resolve all issues. Any ideas on the oil leak. It is greasy on the battery side of the engine.

Chances are the oil leak is coming from the valve cover gaskets. If the plugs have not been changed then the gaskets probably have not been either. But, this is purely a guess on my part. Sharing some details about your vehicle would be helpful. Have you been underneath the car to see what component the oil is dripping from? Do you still have the plastic cover on the bottom? Is it dripping from the cover or the engine block?

Update! 1997 LS400
it need new spark plugs. Still a slight hesitation it not bad. The oil leak was valve cover gaskets and oil pan leak. Was told not to be concerned with it now.
