Default Debate......older LS or newer RX?

I’m looking at two cars. ...a 2008 LS600h S package with 25000 miles. And a 2014 RX 450h L package with 35000 miles. Both In Great condition. About the same price. What do you guys think?

Get both.

I have been lusting on an LS like forever. Someday I will own one.

I do not have a GS (which i heard from Lexus, will be taken off production 2019 year, and the RC takes over) and an LS.

Did you hear this from a salesman? So far, I've heard that no one really knows the fate of the GS, just rumor and speculation. Every dealer I've spoken to says Lexus is staying mum on the GS. If you've heard this from a good source would you please share with us over on the 4th Gen. side of the forum here?

Think of your needs and look at how each vehicle can fulfill them. Key is to eliminate once in a year need and not allow it to cloud your judgment (you can always rent).

LS -> Lexus flagship sedan
RX -> Lexus most popular (units sold) vehicle.

If both fit the need well, look at the long term cost.

Heard from somebody who works at the dealer, he's been with Lexus like 20 years.

I Have had the LS600h for 3Years, since 1 Year the Rx450h F-Sport;
LS: Cool, high power PS-Torque, veeery powerful Hi-Fi Sound, Seat Air Cooling, very quiet inside and high quality Interior etc..
but.. small trunk, long wheel base, low body, air suspension always does wat you do not want (always regulate up down back higher, sometimes front higher) with original wheels no cool look from behind and front, too norrow wheel base!

RX: Eeeasy, much space (not! On the back seats), (L package, more Space !?), high body and Seat Position, relaxed driving..
but... cheaper interior, thinner material, plastic.. noisy, lots of noise, crunch, crackle,
very weak sound system!! enough power with this engine, but much less than with the LS.

I bought a new GS in December. I probably spoke to a couple dozen dealers before I found the deal I wanted. I asked each dealer and not one knew the future of the GS. Pure rumor at this point.
