Default Is this 350 a good deal?

Hello everyone,

In need of a car and finally decided on an is350. Found a 2008 is350 with 85k miles and the dealership is asking for $15k, and after taxes, it'll probably be around $17-$18k. Do you guys think that it's still worth financing a car that is 10 years old and for that amount? I was thinking about offering $13-14k OTD if possible and see where things go from there. What are your guys' thoughts? Hoping you guys will able to shed some light.

Thanks in advance!

Looks really clean. Get the VIN and go the lexus owners and check on maintenance or other things. Also get the Carfax on it, not that that always covers everything done to a car, but it'll give you peace of mind and give you an possible idea why the miles are so low. That's a very low mileage 350 for a 2008. Make sure the dash and door panels were replaced per the recall that has now expired. That'll mess you up if that hasn't been done.

JM2C but our west coast cars likely hold thier value better as the underside is in far better shape 10 years out compared to upper eastern states....

If the price is right for you, do what makes you happy!

Although I think I paid too much 6mo ago, I grabbed a 2013 IS-350 F-Sport RWD, USBM/black interior w/50,ooo mi for $24k. Financed 18 w trade in...

Be advised you may be doing some age related maintenance. How does the paint look? Was it inside most of its life?

It is a little high but KBB puts it at $14,600 for its year, mileage and package options.

How do I check if they have been replaced?

What are some of the maintenance that I will be looking at? And how big of a factor will they play if I was to purchase this car? And yes. The car was garaged for most of its life.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Well it seems fairly priced than if it checks out. I know you won’t regret buying a 2nd gen IS350.

We purchased our 06 IS350 in December with 52k miles for $14k CAD (11.2k USD).
It was really well maintained and considering the performance, there's nothing that can touch it.
It also looks nice next to my 325is (1988).

Way too high...

I just bought an 06 with 63k miles on it for 10,800

There was another 06 with 55k miles for sale for 11,800.

2 years newer and 20-30k more miles is not worth 4-5k more. Dealer is trying to make a killing.
