Default DEPO Headlights

It looks like DEPO finally decided to make 2IS headlights.

I found this link on eBay today. It's from the same seller I got my 2nd Gen GS led tail lights from. They never gave me any problems installed.

Yes halogen only. What I don't like it's the light output. It looks terrible compared to OEM. I need to upgrade my head lights soon. After seeing these I'm leaning towards the VIP Moto still.

I plan on baking and painting the housings. Problem solved for me. Definitely do not want to lose any features of my headlights.

I could be wrong, but I swear I've seen that exact photo somewhere else of the headlights. If that's what they truly look like, then I'm stoked. The other ones out there look too tacky in my opinion. They don't look as aggressive as the OEM ones.

But if we can find more pics of the Depo ones, that would help.

I took some screenshots. From the link I posted on the first post. You can view there under the vendors description tab if the lights.

It’s funny that Depo would make an OE replacement for 2012+ LED DRL but in halogen but those LED DRL only came HID models. I thought the rare halogen IS in those years had old style lights.

Yeah it's strange that they made them halogen. Most IS's I encountered had HIDs and seeing a halogen model was honestly a rare sight. If there was a way to install halogen headlights on a car that came with HIDs from the factory, I'm jumping on these ASAP.

I'm sure there's a way but the wiring and labor must be a pain. Not trying to spend a ton of money on headlights when I have yet to get my coils made :\

I plan on getting these..stay tuned.
I have my VIPMOTOz headlghts new in box but plan to return since they have a 60 day money back guarantee and return policy. I am going to rewire and bake them open to install new LED projectors, which i was previously planning on putting into the VIPMOTOz.

The advantage of these looks like the height adjustment are stock so you can adjust while on car. the VIPMOTOz require removal of headlight and bumper to make adjustments.

Just ordered the 2011+ DEPO halogen versions discussed here. I was waiting on eBay's 6% eBay Bucks promo and it came up today so I ordered. Should have them by next week and will do a detailed review.

I highly doubt it...this seems to be the best price so far for the pair. If you look at the other sellers of the same lights, as individual units, they are $480 each!

The Depo HID replacement (stripped of ballasts/lamps) is $520 each. Only difference between the HID version and these seems to be the wiring, HID projector and autolevel motor.

One thing I have a feeling about these and all the aftermarket replacements...is that it will be missing the bottom LED DRL cap and harness (81125-53540) and . I think the OEM H/L doesn't come loaded with this either...so may have to spend $40 on this. I've seen guys on CL discuss this during their 2011+ H/L conversions.

I was wrong...I found another seller that is selling exact same set for $399.95 on eBay. Seller is bid4speedster and listed under "True OE JDM Black Headlight"
www.ebay.com/itm/True-OE-Style-JDM-Black-LED

I'm trying to cancel my other order or at least get them to price match it so I don't have to cancel.

That's definitely a good price. Hope they price match it. The coco777 seller. Many people from CL 2gs bought the DEPO LEDs. I was one of them going 5 years strong today. They are not even sealed. Maybe he can give the 2IS a deal with this new headlights.
