Default Delamination of Clear Coat on Brake Caliper

Anyone have this issue? Do you think it should be cover under warranty? Going to check with dealer in the morning. Photo is of rear driver side brake caliper.

Common problem just chip off the loose stuff give the calliper a light scuff, clean, and spray with some VHT clear coat. I did mine 6 months ago and still look new.

That was what I was going to do if dealer does not want to warrant it.

Common issue with IS Fs. One bad wheel mounting and it's a goner.

Let us know what the dealer says. Mine has it as well on the front driver side brake caliper.

I have a small piece of paint that chipped off on my IS-F front caliper as well from regular washing, possibly from using a pressure washer (2000psi electric from about a foot away). Luckily it's not on the very face of the caliper but more to the back edge but I think I'll still touch it up somehow.

Default Update:

Just want to give an update. My dealer is replacing the whole rear caliper. I would of thought they would simply repaint it.

Finally got around to getting mine looked at. Dealer said they would have to make sure it wasn't caused by 'impacts' but they ended up replacing it under warranty.
