Default 20008 IS 250: Rear Locks not Working

My rear door actuators are not working on my 2008 IS 250. No sound. No movement. Do I have to replace the actuator or the motor inside the actuator.

Thanks! Jeff

If it's both doors, I would find it suspect it's the door actuators. I would check your fuses, relay or something similar. It's possible you may have gotten a short in the wire for those doors.

Do the doors lock/unlock from the actual door panel--driver's door control panel, the rear door control panel or handle? If the handle on the door is working, I would check to make sure the child safety switch isn't turned on. On the 2008 year, it's in the door jam on the door.

Thanks for your response. The rear actuators went out a month between each other. The fuses that operate the locks are attached to all locks to include the front as well. If there are dedicated fuses for each door lock, I haven't been able to confirm that.
Further response to your post.
Does Driver's door control pane respondl, NO Handle YES . If the handle on the door is working, I would check to make sure the child safety switch isn't turned on SAFETY LOCK IS IS NOT ON AND WORKS APPROPRIATELY..

If you can confirm that door locks have dedicated fuses for each door, please let me know.

Thanks
Lexus Jef

Unfortunately, I do not know of any dedicated fuses for the doors. I've only had my 2008 IS350 just over a month. Right now, it's at body body getting chips fixed, so I can't even look. Hopefully, someone who is more experienced with the car may know where are all the fuses boxes are or know where you can find a schematic of the fuse boxes to venture a better guess.

Given the locks work, but just not by the button, I'm still thinking it's electrical more than the lock mechanism. You may want to try and pop off the door panel and see if a wire got loose or something. There's probably a YouTube video on how to remove the door panel. It's still possible the actuator when bad on both doors with the time frame apart. It's not common though. My family have had cars similar to your situation, but it's usually just one lock.
