Worth buying 2011 HS 250h now?
HI All,
I saw a car recently and loved the interior and gadgets.2011 HS250h. Its at 48000 miles now. He is asking 17k. Heard that its not sold in US anymore but still produced in Japan. I wanted to check with you owners here, how has your maintenance been? Is it expensive to buy parts from Japan? Where do you guys buy your parts from?
Also, just 2 weeks ago Lexus recalled 2010 model with transaxle issues. It says it could result in a crash if driving at high speeds. Is 2011 model also manufactured on the exact same design?(I am assuming yes ?) . I am assuming there are a lot of similarities, and probably even same manufacturing process/plant for 2011 model aswell. I am a little concerened about this. Is it safe to buy 2011 model now?
What do you guys think?

I just bought a 2010 and see this recall when i sign into the lexus website. Apparently they will send out a recall notice in November -- other posts have discussed also. My take is that if Lexus is fixing these issues so many years later, it's not a bad thing.
It's a nice car that blends (to me anyway) performance and fuel-efficiency -- it is not top-notch at either but gives bit of a boost in both categories -- a jack of both trades that doesnt master either.
I've read this board from first to last page and based on posts here most owners seem to like the hs. Parts should be available for years to come -- apparently it's easy to get parts for lexii from 1992, so i don't see why this car would be different even if it isn't manufactured anymore.

110k on my HS250h and no problems other than a bad O2 sensor a couple years back. I don't really see people complaining about this car other than typical hybrid stuff (throttle lag) and some that don't like how the stock stereo sounds.
