2008 Lexus RX 350 and noticed a leak under vehicle
So I noticed a film on my Rear window and tried to clean with back wiper and washer fluid. This did not come off. When i got home asked y son to look at the vehicle and it appeared to be sprayed like with Pam cooking oil? I placed a piece of cardboard under the front end to see what & where its leaking. The fluid was a rusty color and I believe it might be transmission fluid. I will not drive the SUV and wanted to know what kind of Transmission Fluid is needed to drive this to the shop and just bring it in. Unfortunately while i was walking to the grocery store same day and was struck by an SUV and seen the night in the ER. Please help me not sure how to figure out which fluid it is and what Brand of Transmission fluid and/or oil is needed to drive as I have multiple Dr Appt.
Please advise what to do

Check your oil asap. Engine oil. Same thing, oil on back glass has happened to lots of people when oil cooler line fails. Could be trans, but sounds like oil cooler to me. A small pinhole forms first, it sprays all under the bottom of car and is pulled up by air to the back glass. It can kill your car if all your oil is lost. Check your oil first, yellow circle handle left side front of engine. Check your trans fluid too, black handle right side front a little lower and just left of battery.
If your car is low on oil because of this incident, have it towed to a dealer for repair, call the dealer and tell them you think the oil cooler line failed. They'll know exactly what you mean and might comp you for all of it, including tow.

Ok this is what the Toyota Dealership repaired
Today I finally was able to have my Mechanic diagnose the oil leak. Yes the engine oil cooler hoses leaking severely!!!!!
Cooler pipe part # 04004-29131 pipe cost $88.58 labor $182.88
My Sexy already had this repaired back in 2010 and this is now a metal part no more rubber I was advised.
So now off to dispute this with Lexus because of this known TSB I walked to Walmart to food shop on sunday night with my daughter and we were both struck by a SUV and both in the er for multiple injuries
So not only do I have repair issues I now have Legal issues and a broken foot Thank You Lexus for a poor design

in Australia, a toyota dealer told a friend that they are seeing oil leaks from the oil filter O ring on non toyota filters. He said it appeared that extended oil change times was causing the O ring to break down. My friend had this leak.
