Default RR Racing Supercharged IS350 Build

Hi All,

As you all probably know, last year we began our 3IS development project with a 2014 IS350 F-Sport AWD. We have posted lots of tuning results for the car as we tested our tunes with exhaust and with PPE headers.

We began our Supercharger kti development on the IS350 AWD, and then exchanged the AWD car for a RWD 2014 F-Sport earlier this year.

What we have done so far:

(1) Custom exhaust and PPE headers, RR-Racing tune
(2) RR-Racing Road & Track coilovers with full "true" coilover conversion of the rear suspension
(3) RR-Racing USRS Ultimate steering response bushings.
(4) RR-Racing 2UR-GSE Supercharger (details to be posted this week).

Some specs on our new coilovers and brake systems for the 2014+ IS/RC/GS:

Front brakes: 14" solid disks (same size as ISF), curved vane, with Wilwood Aero 6-piston calipers. Calipers are the same as Wilwood uses on their Corvette competition kits. Features forged monoblock construction, and differential bore stainless steel pistons.
Rear brakes: 13.6" solid disks (same disk as on the RCF), curved vane, with Wilwood forged Superlite 4 piston calipers.

Brakes are available custom powder coated.

Suspension: Same suspension as developed on our Supercharged ISF shop car:
  • Complete conversion of the rear suspension from divorced spring setup to "true coilover." This allows for higher spring rates which are essential for better handling.
  • Afco Racing billet aluminum shock absorbers custom valved to our specification. These American made adjustable monotube shocks are very light, can easily be rebuilt, and are extremely reliable. Much higher quality than the cheap imported shocks.
  • Available with your choice of custom spring rates. Springs are made in the USA by Hypercoil, and feature dual main/helper spring setup.

We recently released new Lexus "L" and "F" billet front badges. Not only does this look better than the large cheapo plactic front badge, but our badge allows air to pass through, improving cooling, particularly when coupled with our new oil cooler which will sit behind the badge.

Dyno of our Stage I Supercharger kit for the IS300/350, RC300/350, and GS350. Results are at 6.5psi boost pressure with headers and exhaust:

How much for the coilovers? Also, are they AVS compatible?

Yes, we are shooting some vids. This weekend should be fun as we are taking the car to Watkins Glen Raceway for some track time, so stay tuned!

Not AVS compatible yet... problem with AVS is that there is stock actuators have very little movement so while we haven't tested it yet, it may not make much of a difference in damping.

Hey Rafi,

It's great to finally see the RR-Racing Supercharger kit at its final stage of development before being released to the public (it's been over a year and a half since you first started exploring this option). Are you able to disclose at this time if the new kit can also take advantage of the 2GR-FSE rev limiter increase from the ECU tune (e.g. 7000-7200 RPMs)?

In another thread they said the rev limit is capped at 6000rpm for ~366WHP. With Performance Stages increasing rev limiter or increasing pulley size.

Actually the 2IS kit will likely have a higher rev limiter than the 3IS kit, depending on the desired power output. The 2IS ECU is totally different than the 3IS ECU, so in some ways its easier to tune it.

We are actually looking for a good 2IS candidate for SC install in November.

You guys should make a black / dark grey version of the front badges. I like that you've added functionality but I like the look of my dark smoke emblem even better on the black grill.

Can't wait to see the SC kit. I'm in NJ and will definitely coming to you guys for some work in the future.

Actually we have that... if you go to our website, you can order the emblems custom powder coated to a variety of colors.

A bit of a preview pic of the Supercharger.... not that much to see from under the hood, everything very low key for that sleeper look:
